Part 3: The Kid Check (for Parents of Kids Ages 6-12)
POV: you’re a parent who landed on the whitewater, but are still feeling a little nervous. If you have a young kiddo (but over the age of 6), ask yourself these three questions:
- Are they comfortable around water? (Can they swim, or at least not panic if they get a big splash to the face?)
- Do they love a good thrill? (Are they the kid who begs to go on the rollercoasters, or do they prefer the merry-go-round?)
- Do they listen to directions well? (When a guide says “HOLD ON!” or “PADDLE!”, will they do it instantly?)
