Our Wall is Wild
We are excited to show off our new mural on the backside of our downtown Jackson office, painted by the talented Kika Macfarlane. JH Public Art’s annual WildWalls event transformed our blank building exterior into an open-air gallery to bring awareness to the region’s ecological stories.
Kika Macfarlane is an illustrator, designer, and animator living in Jackson. Originally from Colorado, she received her design and liberal arts education in British Columbia. Throughout her career, she’s worked as an in-house designer with outdoor brands like Patagonia and Stio before stepping out on her own as a freelance artist. When she’s not sketching or behind a screen, you can find her on a paddle board or pair of skis.
We were super excited to have the opportunity to work with Kika, The Snake River Fund, and JH Public Art to create this mural. As an avid river user, Kika drew a lot of inspiration for her art from her own time spent out on the water and on our local public lands. Her mural features the beauty of the recreation and wildlife found in Snake River Canyon. This was her first time painting a large outdoor mural and she absolutely crushed it.
